If you're visiting Manchester, you've probably heard of the Old Trafford Stadium. It's the home of Manchester United and a fantastic place to visit. Do you know what Manchester is famous for? It's music and football. Old Trafford stadium is known as "the theatre of dreams".The Iconic Architecture
It is one of the largest stadiums in Europe and can seat up to 80,000 people for matches. The stadium has a steep roof which covers half the field and gives it a distinctive shape. This roof is made up of aluminium panels that are held together with steel cables and supports that allow each panel to move independently from one other when necessary. The other half of the field is open, allowing spectators an uninterrupted view of either the goalpost or end line, depending on where they're sitting.
Football Museum
If you're interested in traditional football culture, stop by the Museum of Football. This interactive space features displays of shirts from all over the world that some of today's biggest stars have used.

A little more unique stopover in the stadium is the Manchester United Museum Store. This Megastore is the largest football shop you're likely to find. It sells pieces of memorabilia, including limited edition prints of famous photographs taken at Old Trafford over time. Everything you could want from United is available here, from shirts to scarves, customised football kits, to key rings. Over 800 product lines are available on the shelves. The most popular attraction at Old Trafford is the Sir Alex Ferguson Stand, which offers views of both ends of the pitch. The stand is named after the legendary former manager of Manchester United, who led them to five Premier League titles and two FA Cups.
Best Playground
The best football games have been played on this ground, with the first match played in 1910 and it was a match against Liverpool. Since then, the stadium has played host to many other famous clubs, most notably Real Madrid and AC Milan.
